  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Taylor Swift - Blank Space music video, shot with Dragons and the Ronin.

Fantastic work, Chris ! I'm not really big fan of Her music too, but we are talking about Your job here and it is truly amazing !

170 million views in 4 weeks. Still has a way to go to take down Love the Way you lie at 780 million views on Eminem's official Vevo posting on YouTube… None of these account for others who upload their own copies of the work and people view that instead. ;-)

Fantastic Work Chris! Looks amazing!

BTW, was that Oheka Castle? I forget the spelling. Somewhere in NY. Went to a wedding there and it was amazing.

Beautiful like everyone else has said. Ashamed to say my first thought was "Hey thats Boris' castle from Royal Pains!" O_O

Would have been nicer to be shot in 3D since you use it with the Oculus. Then have both Taylor and the dude 3d scanned and 3D mixed in the Oculus perhaps jumping out of a 3d flat screen into the Oculus 3D environment.

Flawless otherwise.

It looks really nice. And maybe I imagine things but it got some Canon character to it. So my guess for lenses (as you also mentioned above would be K35's or FD's) especially when you say you shot some of it on a long 135mm lens... as the FD 135mm f2 is a true gem. But normally on productions of this caliber, people tend to go for far more expansive and modern glas even.

So atleast let me know if I'm wrong :)

Looks like Canon K35s to me. Good beauty lenses, no additional diffusion necessary. Chris?

Just cracked YouTube's All-Time most viewed Top 100 videos… AND 300 million views in less than 1 months. Pretty sweet. Now if we can crack into the Top 10 that'd give me 3 there!

You are not wrong.

My daughter has added 500,000 to that count.

Chris, isnt this Oheka Castle in Long Island?

I've directed a few tuxedo spots there and it sure looks like it!!!!

Great visuals, Sir!!!

Above all I'm actually happy to see a good music video. This sucker is shot well and fits the song rather perfectly.

Today the video just passed 500 million views on its main YouTube link AND broke the previous 97-day record in doing so held by Gangnam Style... Not that I expect to take down Psy's impossible 2 BILLION view dominance, but it's cool nonetheless!
