  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Taylor Swift - Blank Space music video, shot with Dragons and the Ronin.

Really great work, and great colors.

I just curious where in Jersey this was shot?
 
Consistently cracking 10-million views a day… up to 30-million views in 3-days. I'd say it's a hit. Glad to showcase Dragon in all of its glory. OLPF2 in all its glory.

David, I just like shooting shallow depth of field, the windows were back-lit by the sun (though not when we finally rolled camera) so everything was balanced to that.

I'm also curious about the lenses and what stop(s) you were at, since you mention being shallow. Also did you haze the interiors?

I saw some of the BTS pics you posted...do you have any with the rigged up Epic and Ronin?...How did the Ronin perform? If no pics, which I understand given cell phones were off limit =) could you tell me if you had the MB on the Ronin? Thx!...having a tough time balancing my Ronin with MB, and often find it much easier (and quicker) to go without...but then I'm without filters unless I find a way to "tape" them onto the lens...and that's not safe at all.

Again, great job! Hope you get to +50 mill views sir!

I'm hoping the bts video is posted soon, but to answer your question, I've had no trouble at all with my Ronin and balancing with a full setup of wireless video, remote focus and a proper mattebox with filters. Here's a pic of us using my rig on the shoot...

Awesome news! Looks like it's kitted all the way out...MB and everything. Your shot's look great so I know it worked. Again, thx for posting!

Side note question, but where are the handles?
