help ... trying to post images from flickr

You just need to copy/paste the BBCode. If you use the new experience, its the third option in the second row of the sharing-tools.

Agreed... I love shooting with the Scarlet and with enough attention paid to non-camera related technicalities such as lighting and composition, the Scarlet can produce some great looking footage... here are some frames from my latest short "I am Raymond"...

The film can be viewed at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_whGbVfhpgc

Matt, absolutely gorgeous images! Great lighting, beautiful look, fine framing - I'm liking it a lot. It was well worth the time & effort!

Thanks man,

I'm not implying that I don't like the looks either - just that they are quick copy paste looks to check out the footage and send to client :)
Your stuff is always killer so it means a bunch.

cheers

Hi Paul,

I loved your film! Thanks for not using any slomo or cheesy music!
It's a hilarious, playfull viewing experience and quite an Eraserhead rip-off!
I especially loved the-digging-up-pixels-under-rotten-leaves idea!
Such a rare moment on reduser!!

Very fresh editing and thoughtful framing all the way through!!

I wish you lot's of success with it and hope you'll smash some festivals!

Thanks Sebastian for the great feedback... glad you enjoyed the film!
We had a great time shooting this one - it was such a fun shoot.

These are not terribly special. Only light was the window behind the camera with sunlight coming in. Wanted to see how decent my cheapo extension tubes worked.

50mm F1.7 Contax Zeiss, with around 28mm of Extension Tube, aperture wide open, shot at 5K 12fps. Oh, and that's my own eye, about 3.5 inches from the front of the lens. Did you know it's hard to focus on your own eyeball? It's hard to focus on your own eyeball.

The real reason I'm posting, though, is that I like the sharpness I can get from RCX better than what I can get in Resolve. In Resolve, if I made the image any sharper, it started to get noisy with a lot of weird artifacts. Probably just that the saturation increase amplified the noise. But the chroma control is just so much better in Resolve. Also, Alchemy certainly helps a bit. I still can't 100% say what Alchemy *does*, but I like adding a little whenever I'm only exporting straight from RCX.
