  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Just to be safe, I'm praying to Jesus, Allah and Buddha (might even try L. Ron Hubbard). I ordered Raven within the first 12 hours then switched, and have not been allocated yet. But I'm feeling like this might be the lucky week.

One thing or another seems to have been changed that demands updated plugins.

Sorry, guys, I use FCPX I have tried some Red files in the past and I have imported with no issue, are you refering to the 8K files? orsomething is changed now? thanks
 
Anxiety is elevating... But the faith that we will all be this month with (Scarlet W Package orders from December) in hand is still ON!

Glad this has been addressed, that would cause some real problems. Thanks Phil.

Adobe hasn't pushed out the updated Premiere Pro CC version to support Scarlet-W, Raven, and Weapon 8K just yet. It's been in beta and should be out soon. I'll fire off another email about it tomorrow.

We haven't heard from you in awhile, Jarred -- did you temporarily ban yourself after those epic hints? Or maybe Brent got some kind of official gag order?

Any news to share on the newly allocated cameras front???

Just emailed Adobe and gave them the rundown of cameras being out and people wanting to open that footage up in CC. Gave them the heads up on Raven and 8K too. Next update should include support for all of those IMO.

I'm not RED, but Brent is out until Tuesday/Wednesday. Based on what I'm seeing on Facebook there's been more cameras shipped for sure.

Bare in mind that Scarlet-W was originally going to be announced/released at NAB 2016. Egging Jarred on after essentially announcing/releasing a camera a couple months in advance might appear to be greedy.

But hey, he's the one who hinted/teased too early this time. So who knows?! Either way, NAB is a bit over a month away. I'm mega curious about the surprises that we have absolutely no idea about.

I would imagine they have quite a task in front of them at the moment. And for the next several months too... :)

I'm following this thread since day one and I was always like: "Come on, chill - it's gonna ship whenever they're ready, one after another..."

I've also ordered the Raven first on 10/9/2015 - then switched to Scarlet-W and right now I'm starting to chew on my nails, catching my self re-freshing this site 20times a day, haha.

Looking forward to be allocated - just as everyone else, since we're all in the same boat :)
 
been shooting with the scarlet w since friday and all i can say is that im in love. as a first time red own its pretty nuts what the camera can do and for this price point its ridiculous. I couldn't be happier with the camera.

did you get the vlock expander, if so wondering what batteries you are using and if you had any issues, thanks!

Congrats Foster... tell us about the low light noise in comparison with Dragon and MX
 
I'm using hypercore slims and the red bricks. As far as i can tell noise is really an issue bellow 2000 iso. Shot at 1600 for a while and it looked great
