Short answer No, and Yes.

3k is totally fine (by my standards), 2kWS has improved with the latest firmware, but it isn't the epitome of sharpness and resolution because it's 2048x854 pixels.

i have been misquoted. i have not shot 3k. only 2k and it does have issues with strange artefacts in the blacks. This was even talked about at Reducation Uk and that it would be improved in future firmware. I have not shot 2k at 24p only high frame rates so no idea if that makes a difference.

No (PL mount). In the EU we have been instructed that no deposits are being taken. Red UK will contact you once it is necessary to pay, which is close to delivery. So hold on, be patient and wait.

Any way to get one that looks like this standard? The "Drybrush" look to it is awesome. Adds another level of cool-factor (pun intended) to this camera.

Use it A LOT and in a few years it'll look like that.

does anyone know if the Scarlet-x has 2.40 ratio mode or will you have to crop later
and are the mounts universals to all reds, does the nikon mount work with scarlet?
