Reduser 4K Portrait Competition...

7:07am. Just pulled an all nighter doing some aggressive DI work. Enjoying my week off to do this!

BEST OF LUCK TO EVERY ONE!!

NO way of making it for me, I tried very hard, and unfortunately I would not even be able to make it to NAB to see you all... :(

But when I'll be able to post about why... You'll understand fully and become incredibly PROUD of this fellow REDUSER as I'll bring to you the scoop on
THE BIGGEST PROJECT I EVER TACKLED IN MY ALL LIFE... ;)

Again very sorry I'll not make it, and truly hope that every one has a BLAST at the REDUSER Party during NAB!!

Well… That sucks for me :( because I was looking forward to meeting you at NAB, Have fun on your new exciting job!!! :)
Hope to meet you sometime :)

Sorry Brett, we'll me in an other occasion, I'm sure... ;)

Actually is not a Job, well it is but I'm self employed, so not sure I'l called a job, since I also love what I don and I fill I never work a single day since I started doing what I do as a full time 100% occupation... ;)

But yeah, it is exiting and it will be so for all of you too once I can make it public, that I promise, enjoy NABand the REDUSER Party buddy!!

Thanks ,I will have a great time!!!

P.S How is Mr.Land going to get his Nutella from Italy????

Same here... No time to finish editing and sending a hard drive from Europe in time for the deadline... Had some great Epic footage from southern Indian temples to work with but not enough time... Maybe next year !

Deadline is tomorrow... Or today rather, for those of us who would have to overnight our entries. I wanted to put together an entry, but couldn't pull it all together this time around.... I've been working on a personal project for a bit here and something like this portrait piece would be an ideal way to show people what I'm up to. Was hoping to build something out of that, but it's just not there enough yet. I can't wait to see the top entries at NAB. I think this is going to be a lot of fun!

Had to stitch a quick fix due to a tracking error...

Rerendering 4k, then need to generate the h264 proxy...

C'mon MacPro1,1!

Render, render, render!

*STRESSING*

He he, no worry Brett, that has been taken care of already, my buddy Jarred should have his Italian Hazelnut chocolate Spread, no matter... ;)

I am Fail.

I am Fail.

I am Fail.

All because QuickTime won't compress an h.264 720p proxy file from my 4k Prores 4444 master. All I get is a black screen with the audio.

Missed FedEx and have to go pick up my kid from day care.

Between the studio and equipment rental, craft services, eSata drive and music licensing, I'm down about 1k.

I was up 40 hours straight on Monday trying to get the project into render.

Oh well, defecation occurs.

Can't wait to see everyone's entries at NAB.

Best of luck to those that made it.

I fail at fail.

I fail at fail.

Well, I suck at failure.

Got an oil change, filled the tank and got the day off of work tomorrow.

Leaving in the AM to hand deliver the drive with the contest entry...

Heh. Just dropped it off. I'm local, so that wasn't the hard part. Are we allowed to upload these yet or do we wait? Curious. I'd love to share the process and talk about what went right/wrong.
