  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

REDCINE-X PRO Build 23.2 BETA

also a free resolve with neatvideo plugin sharpening...

Seconded:
The sharpening in Neatvideo is excellent and very well controlled – it uses the noise pattern from it's denoiser. BTW, don't upgrade to Resolve 10.1 yet if you want to use Neatvideo, there's a bug.

Much more than denoise. It's also sharper.

200% crop (made with GLoptics 18-35mm) 2500 iso

WoW...the regular snapshot looks like an average DSLR like a 7D or something, but the A.D.D one actually looks better or at least as good as a 5D Mark III...I have been waiting for the moment that RED actually surpasses the performance of DSLR's, even in low light...and it looks like that moment has finally come!

you know its shot at iso4000 at f4 right?

I've never seen any DSLR shoot clean images above 1600ISO. Not sure if you realize it but that shot is at 4000ISO. This is far superior to most DSLR's since their video modes usually include massive amounts of noise reduction that create the blocky noise that we all hate.

Waiting for the moment? You mean that until now no RED camera was better than a DSLR? If that's what you mean, maybe an eye appointment is due.

Is it still in 10.1.2?

I think he meant for stills...

Amazing. You guys never stop and I love you for it!

Great work! Now I just need the camera myself :)

Show me your DSLR camera that shoot like this at 80fps and I buy it from you.

Mark, or anyone else, what have you found to be the best sharpening / detail enhancer for post? Have you tried the updated sharpness filter in Sapphire 7? I would like to find something that I can plug into scratch.

try to find the Kodak Cineon aperture correction sparks those are as I see it still the absolute best sharpening algoritms around.

I'm not sure, I need to do some more tests. The bug was generating erroneous frames at times in renders from Resolve when an OFX plug-in with temporal calculations was used, like Neatvideo or RSMB. BTW this issue only affects Resolve working in CUDA GPU mode. The OpenCL GPU mode is not affected, so you can switch Resolve to OpenCL mode if needed.

Together at last! Nice job guys.
A.D.D. Beta enabled plus CUDA and OpenCL together again at last.

Enjoy :)

Have you ever seen a RAW image from any stills camera look clean at 1600ISO at night? I sure haven't... At least not until after processing.

my mac it takes 40 seconds to 1 frame ...
I hope that in the coming relaise the process to be distributed across all cores and not just 1.
I do not see the moment that you can do the process on the complete clip :)
A.D.D powerfullllll

I sincerely hope that ADD can be reverse engineered to AED (Advanced Epic Debayer) to handle EPIC MX footage as well.

The reason, well, it's much more needed in the older footage than on the Dragon footage which is already cleaner out of the box. Also, it would keep with RED's excellent tradition of making past footage better as the years pass by.

If it can't be done it can't be done, but I sure hope it can be because there are years of R3D that can benefit from this RED tech.

In 3D programs, since its also render intensive, they have an option that is usefull for previewing changes in the frame without actaully rendering the whome frame. What i am talking about is selective frame rendering. In the viewer you choose what area you want to render and only that area is rendered.

David, the Epic has a heavier low pass filter, I don't think the ADD process would do anything more than a pass with Neat video noise plugin. Have you tried Neat on some footage? The effect is similar to ADD but I did find that ADD is more effective on Dragon footage so far.

AND use the RRX to accelerate the process...

Thank you very much
