REDCINE-X PRO Build 23.2 BETA

Has anyone been getting this error on startup with the current release build (mac)?

Yes, of course I meant stills :P RED is now better than a DSLR in stills mode, even in low light and at 100fps!

Red Epic Dragon is the highest rated sensor ever tested and first to break a 100 score on DXO Mark sensor test! Consider this may be with the old olpf, is a motion camera designed for cinema, does not use analog gain, and has less pixels than the full frame competition. This is incredible!

Ran into my first problem with 23.2 beta: I have a clip that's two segments (4GB in the long segment, 100MB -- 18 frames in the short one). Davinci Resolve and Premiere Pro both read the clip as being 610 frames long, but RedCine-X 23.2 only sees the 18 frame segment, not the whole clip. Dunno what I'm doing wrong...should I be sending a bug report to somebody? If so, what's the best address?

Have you set in and out points on the R3D in RCX? Re-set them and see if that fixes it.

I think that RedCine-X reads RedUser.net. I fired it back up again to try this, and it worked. It did not work the previous three times I tried it. But now it does. Thanks!

I have a similar problem - though mine only play the beginning, and not the end.

a couple questions....

a couple questions....

thanks for the latest release build.

Added: Performance improvements for OpenCL on AMD Cards on the latest Windows drivers.

Does this add some amd r9 fun into the mix?

Added: Advanced Dragon Debayer (A.D.D.) still snapshot exports.

Noticed a.d.d. only works on a video sequence longer than 1 frame, was this the intended use?

Correct. A.D.D. "looks" at adjacent frames to help derive the best quality image.

anyone else having issues on Windows with Cuda?

I keep getting "R3D Demosaic Store: Failed to create buffer array 2.11"

Yup. I am getting it too. I just figured maybe it was my old GTX 285. However, it is working (although somewhat slow) in OpenCL mode.

I have confirmed same issue. There's a bug related to segmented clips in 23.2. I have reported the issue to Rob Lohman.

Just reporting an issue with 23.2 beta, each time I've tried to open an 5K Scarlet file with HDRx enabled, the program crashes on Mac OS Mavericks.

Hi Andrew,

Can you please email the OS X crash log to redcinex@red.com? That would greatly help.

If you are able to upload the R3D clip somewhere for us to download that would help as well.

Thanks!

Rob

Was this just once or do you still see this occasionally?

Dunno if this has been reported or not, but when in portrait rotation, the last few generations of RCX have had the habbit of crashing when exporting, both snapshots and through the export-tab. (OSX)
