  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

REDCINE X BUILD 32 Release and ROCKET-X V2.1.19 Superchargerd firmware / drivers.

All I need now is an RRX ... one more month and I'll be at my first anniversary in the Rocket X queue :)

EDIT 1 : Just found out that my 'notification' email got lost somewhere ... and that RRX are actually available! Yippee ... Xmas to come early to my household. :D

EDIT 2 : A shiny black RRX turned up ... and now a Sonnet Echo Express III-D (in a box the size of a TARDIS)

What's the state of play on getting original Rocket to support Dragon footage? Obviously won't get close to X performance but should still provide useful acceleration; that it doesn't work at all is annoying and frustrating.

ADD in this 32 relaise not work in my system.. in relaise 31 work perfect.

Luigi,

It appears that you are correct, however it only affects the ADD Snapshot button in the viewer. If you're using an Export Preset and applying A.D.D., that still works.

I'm trying to install the Photoshop plugin on Yosemite 10.10.1 / Photoshop CC 2014 and it's not finding photoshop - any tips for installing?

Robino,

The only time I've seen something like that happen before is if Photoshop hasn't been run on the machine before installing the RED Photoshop plugin. After the first time PS is run, it leaves a file on the filesystem that tells where to install Photoshop plugins, and we use that file for that information. Ensure that you've run and quit Photoshop before installing the plugin.

If that still fails, open Finder and hit CMD-SHIFT-G, type in "/private/var/log" and hit enter. Find the file named "install.log", zip it up and send a copy to us at redcinex at red dot com and we can better debug why your install is failing.

Thanks Grant - That's exactly what was happening - installed perfectly. I'm installing all my software on my new Retina iMac.

Hey REDcineX team, is there a way to render out just the audio (into wavs or what-have-you)? If not, would something like that be difficult to implement?

It is possible already :
export preset > format > BWF

Yeah. Just create a Preset in the Look Presets with the following Parameters:

Color Space: RedColor 2
GammaSpace: RedLogFilm
White Balance: 5600
ISO 800
Tint: 0

Then just hit the preview button to see it.
 
Hi Red Team

i just upgraded both my redcine pro from version 31 to 32 and upgraded RRX to the latest version. My RRX is housed in a external TB enclosure. When I followed the instructions to shut down, wait 60 secs, and restart, RRX seem to be causing error in playback of Dragon footages, and giving me longer than usual transcoding timings.

am I doing anything wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
