yes indeed. You can also use it as a side mount Lemo Adapter if you want to rock an old cabled LCD ( or old EVF ) in addition to the top LCD.

Yes exactly

The little grips on the EVF top and bottom bolt off as well, and you can replace them with mini cheese plates. Tons of mounting options.

Very well done. Love the focus on rigging here. Sounds like the optics improved and the display magnification is larger from the report from Amsterdam, which will be great with the higher resolution display.

I'm not very fond of using arms to mount the EVF. The new plate is listed as "RED EVF Mounting Plate (Top)" so the question is if it's possible to mount it underneath the EVF instead?

Yes, can also mount on bottom. You will just have the RED on the plate upside down...

No, you will see on product detail page on RED.com, it states which cameras each accessory is compatible with...
