  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED ONE / DSMC 1 upgrade program finally has an end date.

Jake and Nick, you are correct on path to WEAPON CF for other non-RAVEN DSMC2.

Like I said earlier, the current WEAPON Mg path to WEAPON CF is a screaming deal. Bird in the hand, cannot guarantee that deals stays after Sep 28 or, if replaced, the replacement deal will be better.
 
Wow a lot has happened in the 2 weeks I go invisible in Europe.

Trying to catch up and understand anything. Are there any additional doors in all this for the Epic Dragon yet? Anything cheaper than the jump to Epic-W yet? Scarlet-W? But not the purchasing route since it seems Epic Dragons are a tough sell right now. I've had mine on the market for about 6 months and brought the price down by over 30% in that time.

I'd like very much to move up to RED's DSMC2 system.

I have two RED X DRAGONs. Would RED be willing to make a straight across swap - two RED X DRAGONs for one RED EPIC-W 8K?

I was just reading over the upgrade policy on their page and it seems that at this time it's not the case where the sensors being swapped out could be kept. Maybe that would change. But currently I found this on their site.

I love my Scarlet-W.

I'm not really interested in Helium.

I would absolutely love a Dragon-sensor Weapon at some point with the compression and FPS options that gives me.

I'd really appreciate if there will be some way to facilitate this down the line.

That said, I recall last time as a UK-based shooter the cost of going from my Scarlet-MX to an Epic-MX once VAT (on the full Epic, not just the upgrade price) was figured in meant it was a lot more financially viable to just sell the Scarlet privately.

No idea what point I'm trying to make. But thanks for giving us options.

Or maybe trade 2 Dragons plus cash for a Weapon 8K? Should be doable... Cheers!
 
I wonder if it's possible to move from weapon magnesium to weapon carbon (staying dragon)

The current program available is a true upgrade. Meaning you are moving form one sensor to another. The sensor swap program will have many similarities to an upgrade, but will be distinctly different.

Jeffrey, this is the last chance for DSMC1 folks to move to DSMC2. What you see now (until Sep 28), is what you get.

Brent, we have an 6k Dragon sensor built in an Epic-M DSMC 1 body! Hope we can now upgrade to 8k Helium and keep our 6k Dragon sensor! Yes?

Could someone direct me to the break down of what my upgrade options for an Epic-MX are? I have tried to figure this out my self and am hopelessly confused ;-)

That's a shame. So Epic MX can go to DSMC 2 in a Scarlet W package but Dragons can't? Guess I'm off the train since the only proposed method is selling the Dragon and they're a tough sale right now and the Epic W one is a huge leap in price.

I get the value but wish there was an alternative.

Been a fun ride I guess.

Jeffrey, you can get into an EPIC-W for $14,500 with a SCARLET/EPIC DRAGON. That is $15,000 off MSRP for EPIC-W.

An M-X owner is getting a $2500 to go into a SCARLET-W.
