Red Mysterious SKULL

How are you everybody? A lot of us have heard about this mysterious "Red Skull", and a lot of speculations are emerging. This thread is all about that, and here is my contribution:

According to me, a new logo means a new camera. Can it be a new sensor? I'm pretty sure it's not as the dragon is too young for that, but it can be a new camera model..

We have the Epic, we have the Scarlet, maybe we'll have the Skull?

The guy is a photographer, maybe this skull is about a "still oriented Red camera" ? A smaller and lighter one? It would be hugely fu*kn' crazy..

The skull emblem looks like something I'd draw up... As of what it means, it seems to be related to Jarred's recent comment about the RED engineers figuring something out. Could be module related or directly related to the cameras we have now, maybe a new camera or upgrade. I'm pretty sure I'll just have to have it and my wallet is going to wince in pain. Again.

I'm thinking it's new module goodness...

I am guessing some sort of memory add-on so there is proper burst as some have requested for slo mo with more options for faster rates at higher res... would be nice 400 fps 6K 5 seconds

They will probably announce at least a 65mm sensor at NAB but I don't think that's what the tease is about. Jarred also said ‪#‎GladIBoughtaDragon‬. Which has to mean it's an upgrade/module thing since you would be pissed not glad to have bought a dragon if it was something entirely new.

Also interesting to note that there is a new flush fan cover in that photo as well.

I run an Epic group on Facebook... there might have been a posting similar to this... it had the 'tag': #DoIreallyNeedToWaitTillNAB #GladIBoughtaDrago. So... I for one don't think it's a new camear.. I'm with Kilgroe... I think it's a new module... one that gives Dragon Wings!

Burst Mode Module would be great, I think everyone owning a Dragon would be glad they bought one.

Wireless would be great but I don't see a lot of people removing the side handle to "gain" that feature when there's a lot of other options in regard to viewing or camera control.

I'm betting there's more to the piece than what's in the picture. Removal of the front fan is pretty serious overhaul I'd imagine.

When I saw them the first time, I thought they looked like two stereo microphones that replaced the 1/8" connectors that used to sit next to the fan... Good for audio sync?

Thinking this is wifi also, and fits the "wings" thought. Jarred had been playing with a lot of copters recently, and this would be a great way for control... Even on a 3-axis gimbal on the ground.

A device like this could mean so many things otherwise... Wireless video monitoring... Wireless data transfer... Wireless control... Maybe wireless proxies encoded from the video feed...

Could even work the other way with audio wirelessly sent to camera via the sound cart... Etc.

Literally endless depending on the speed. Just use your imagination. All speculation, but where's the fan?
