P.S. To do what Jacek has done you can simply use that Kipon MF Speed Booster on the DSMC Leica M Mount. Yes we tried that along the way and it's what inspired us to create some new optics.
Whatever happened to this product? Was it released?
Can this be used on helium??
Yes the mount is standard bayonet so some lenses may move when focusing. We've had that feedback from customers.I posted on the other thread, but seeing that this one is more recent, perhaps I'll have more luck hereA question regarding the Kipon focal reducer - do the lenses move in the mount during focusing? As in, is there a visible image shift when using a motorized follow focus? As far as I can see there is no locking mechanism on the lens side and all the reviews I can find online are mainly for photo.
For such a small volume the most sensible thing is to put kipon glass into the C7 adapterJacek, thank you so much for replying! I saw that C7 is offering locking Mamiya adapters but without the focal reducing element of course. Are you considering integrating a locking mechanism into your focal reducer design?
