The Quad Charger charges each Redvolt with the same amount of Volts as the Travel Charger ( 1.75 Amps ) . You can't charge with any more amps without getting into a heat situation and lowering the life of the cells... the circuits in the Redvolts protect against it.
This happens all at the same time on the Quad Charger... 1.75Amps max to each cell at the same time. As the Cells near full.. the amps go down on that "slot" and that slot alone.. the rest stay at 1.75 amps. That is what Brent is trying to state.
Does that clear it up?
So... with that said, the QUAD charger will charge a single battery no quicker than a Travel charger would.
Eg: 4 batteries charged in the quad the same as 4 travel chargers...
Thats a pity.
So (thinking out loud) if the quad battery charger fails for some weird reason (like many chargers have in the past) then you have to have a backup quad battery charger.
So really having 4 Travel chargers is the most safest way to travel... knowing if one of those failed, then you have 3 still to use...
I think Ill stick with my half dozen travel chargers pinned to one plug... Working a treat
Over all, I haven't been screwed on RED VOLT batteries yet, A dozen RED VOLTS and Good on-set power management solves any of those issues.
Still very happy.
PS... I may buy one just for the fun of it
Thanks J.
