  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Paul Ellington - New York

Oh RED how you amaze me... First Mono-Chromatic Cinema Camera's and then the Meizler Module in one day... Too much... Smiles and can't wait own a Meizler one, at some point, and the icing is the new camera addition. Just fantastic...

Make A Film Foundation / New Alternatives For Children

Make A Film Foundation / New Alternatives For Children

The Epic was in good company with former NYU Grad Alums, and myself. We, the Epic M and I shot behind the scenes and spoke to the Director of the NAC Arleen, and Tamika of Make A Film. The work both are doing for kids from difficult backgrounds and futures is incredible. This is my second year back and I look forward to seeing them again next year.

The smallest things can make such a difference. The people at RED are good people above all else, and their gear is being put to good use here in New York.

I hope to do more like this one day but in the middle of school, project and taking care of myself as well.

Best.

- Paul.

Resident Evil

Resident Evil

The opening seq was amazing and I generally just loved the movie. Shot on Epic, eye candy out the you-know-what. Story was solid, some of the way they talked was like the computer game, which worked quite well you just have to go with it, and it brought me back to when I was like 17 or so.

I would recommend anyone watch it for the keying, effects, blood, and Mila looks pretty good in leather.

The pleasure was mine... It was funny, I sat there, hearing the two other runners up. Thought no chance in hell my little Rom-Com will take home 1st... And then it was announced... Dating Alfie... I was happy but honestly did not expect it.

NYU - The Last Lap

NYU - The Last Lap

Heading into the last round of projects at NYU. Almost done, almost...

Prepping two major productions which hopefully will become real. Like many other filmmakers one I can't discuss, but the biography is no secret. It's turning into something more specific which is great. It was good before it will be much better when I am done.

It's been interesting seeing people in different places kinda become new filmmakers to watch. Bumping into a few other RED owners at Tisch this years in different programs. Finally... :)

Everyone camera related is talking about RED, everybody... I also got a call from a friend in Canada, he said, "People are not fans of the F65, nor the Alexa" at pretty much every single post house in Vancouver, BC." Same deal in T - DOT - O. In short, Epic is being requested not just on the acquisition end, but also particularly for Post -- expect a lot of noise from Post-Folks asking to shoot RED, I bet this will also create some buzz for our rigs.

Lastly, I will be doing a small but very fun project. 50/50 chance you get to see it depending on the green-light.

Until next time... Back to work...

PS - Find a small picture I found from Mae West to my Granddad.

Space X • 'Dragon'

Space X • 'Dragon'

I thought I would throw this up, man first private space vehicle launched and docked with the International Space Station. This marks new territory in man's exploration. The fact that the first ship was called Dragon and aptly so... Mr. Jannard has always carved his own path, just like the new Dragon ship did on 10.10.2012 @06:56 for the betterment of the people.
