Mark, any chance we se a OMOD XLR with built in v-mount plate at the back? To get the rig more compact?
What's the size specifications of the OMOD XLR? Searched the Offhollywood site but couldn't find any. (Trying to calculate how much bigger the complete camera will be with the OMOD XLR instead of the Base Expander)
OMOD XLR is 2" long and 1.3 lbs - pic is prototype - before we added 2-pin aux power via lemo-type next to the timecode input.

I see the OMOD TX wireless video modules are no longer listed on Offhollywood - have I missed something? Is this due to the new Bolt 1000 & 3000 superseding the 600 & 2000?
Hi Mark,
Can you give us all the sound specificities of the OMOD XLR and OMOD Poe XLR please ? I don't find all the details on the website.
Thanks
Do you need to purchase a top plate to attach the OMOD XLR to an Epic-W brain, or are the M4 screws in the back of the unit sufficient to support the weight?
Also are the OMOD XLRs on track for January deliveries or earlier?
Thanks,
-Mark
Perhaps these are stupid questions, but:
- The OMOD XLR and POE XLR will be better in sound quality than the DSMC2 Redvolt Expander?
- What should we buy in addition to the OMOD POE XLR to use the RT Motion?
Actually, the Command RT is the bees knees, dogs tuxedo or cats pajamas, take you pick!
It just works! Its nice to keep the DSMC2 small.
Agreed. The OMOD Command RT is by far the best module currently available for DSMC2 cameras. So many useful features in such a small package, and all without cables!
