  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

OFFHOLLYWOOD OMOD Modules for RED WEAPON

Are the AES input from the module acessing directly the AES input of the brain or is there an "AES to Analog to brain" transform?

Hey Mark - Does the module come with DC-In? Just curious so I can figure out what module to have while using the Omod XLR. I would prefer to use an off-camera battery and run power to the Omod XLR directly. Let me know if this is possible. Thanks!

Last news in December, Mark was about to choose around which brand from Teradek/Paralinx/Cinegear flavoured, he should build the Wireless module.
Actually, if everyone could tell him the flavour he wants. Or start a poll or something, he could let us know when the time comes.

I must say we need it yesterday.

Today was the release of the Tomahawk 2, compatible with pretty much everything from paralinxc to teradek... OMOD will use this, but it's months away.

Hey Mark - Any update on a shipping timeline? When I ordered, it said February, but now it says March. Curious if that is the ambition now or if that is just for orders placed today. Thanks! Looking forward to this module, for sure.

I use cine gears ghost eye and it has been extremely solid

Quick question on this re displays. Have an OMOD XLR on order from CVP in the UK.

Is it possible to have 4.7" touch, SmallHD702 via SDI and a Paralinx Ace via HDMI connected and working at the same time?

Yes of course - that will work fine.

Just like other modules that have HDMI - you have that signal at same time as SDI - UNLESS you connect an EVF or monitor to the pogo pins on the side of the DSMC2 brain.

Did the price of OMOD XLR increase? Last time I looked it was 2200 euros (excluding VAT) at CVP.com. Now it is listed at 2661 euros:

Yes, price did increase from $2499 to $2699 USD if you buy direct from OFFHOLLYWOOD for new orders.

International dealers like CVP can add additional margin if they want for import charges/shipping/currency/etc.

I'm interested in buying the OMOD cage for my Scarlet-W and found version 1 to be a good solution (the version with the normal length top plate), but as I'm planning to buy a OMOD XLR a little bit later on, would it not make more sense to get the version 2 (that is a bit longer?). Now to the question, using the current RED base I/O combined with v-mount I believe that would be overlapping some connectors, no? So, would the solution be to simply swap top plate? Would also see the benefit to get the 3rd side arm in version 2.

All suggestions are welcome!
