ET should make another version - move the V-Dock closer to the camera body and ADD 1/4"-20's on the top - focused for AKS like HOTBOX on sode of camera with V-Dock

And for the record - I did actually test the theory with a running camera and it didn't work. I'll try to not "think out loud" so much as many of my great ideas are often highly flawed

How about this idea for powering the HotLink? All my Lemo power ports on my Helix gimble are already taken up with powering Dragon, microRemote, and Paralinx Arrow+ transmitter. The Arrow+ is powered by a Paralinx Lemo to USB transformer cable (I made it Helix compatible by switching the leads on the Lemo connector). Since the HotLink is low power consumption, why not power both the HotLink AND the Arrow+ from the Paralinx USB transformer cable by using a USB "Y" splitter? I talked to Paralinx and they said it should work in theory...

I power the Dragon from the top Lemo next to the HDSI input on top of the Helix. I power the Redrock microRemote and the Arrow+ from the two bottom Lemo ports on the (optional) Auxiliary Power Box. I convert one of those Lemo outputs to USB using the Paralinx Lemo to USB transformer cable. That's where I want to add a USB "Y" splitter to power both the Arrow+ and the HotLink.

I avoid FB for many years and finally started using it few weeks ago and I must say I got hooked to it quickly...
not sharing too much personal stuff there but for networking with people sharing the same interests (camera gear and cinematography) it is quite a useful tool.
