Paul, How long has the SSD module series been out? A year or more? And speaking of more... Moore's law. So, I stick by my prediction.

its all about options... Ferrari-fast cards for people that want to shoot high frame rates with even less compression or are anticipating DRAGON.
32GB?
I don't think I fully understand why there'd be a 32, wouldn't it only record roughly 15 minutes? What's the benefit of this? Other than it probably being half the price of the 64?
SSDs have been out for like a year at the same price, so I'm really hoping our friend Moore comes along and we see a price shift. I've been waiting on purchasing any more until that happens.
I realize this isn't a democracy, but I'd love to see something more like...
512 - $4000
256 - $2000
128 - $1000
64 - $500
With the data rate doubled for 512 cards, can we shoot high framerates like 96 fps with less compression?
It's pretty clear, isn't it? The turbo 512 will be a $/GB premium over the regular 256/128/64 which will be a $/GB premium over the 32GB budget card.
In this case - "priced to match" indicates being priced in accordance with the change in features mentioned/markets targeted. Thanks Andrew - it was not that clear. Americans have turns of phrase which do not translate clearly to other cultures. Here "priced to match" would usually mean same price as existing products, which in this case did not make sense.
I'm going to guess the Turbo 512 is going to be a 50% per gig premium over the standard 256, so $9600. I'm really hoping the 32GB cards are $350
Thanks for listening guysYou are thinking a little too Ferrari on your 512GB estimate, but pretty close on your 32GB guess![]()
Hard to make any guesses in the media game.. things change so fast. lets see how the 32GB cards do![]()
