  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

New Blade Lights! Group Buy!!

I was just about to order two of these yesterday. But but the small saving might not be worth the wait. All the same put me down for two -36" Daylight.

Will put ya down! Even if you were to order them through their website, they still aren't shipping, so you'd probably be waiting as long anyways.

Hey Chris. How different are these models from what they showed at NAB? I like how they can be attached to stack or lengthen them.

Those are them, however they have been making slight changes/modifications to them to make them even better.

I'll take 2 of the 18" daylight. Are you guys in Denver? If so, I'd love to come check them out in person.

This may be a question based on ignorance, but how do these perform at higher frame rates? For example, 96FPS 180 degree shutter.

Thinkers!

But, just to be clear, in a single order for multiple lights, each light counts toward the total, correct? Example: 10 orders of 3 lights each gets us to the highest level (30)?

Thanks, Chris. It's always hard to resist your GBs!

I'm not in Denver unfortunately. Gotcha down for 2 though.

I don't have the production model ballasts, but as soon as I receive them (hoping next week), I'll try and test some HFR.

These lights are pretty great, thanks Chris for putting this all together!

Thanks for coming out man!

Haha..these are some cool and versatile light for sure! You won't be disappointed!

Chris, am I correct about the discount levels being for number of units and not the number of orders?

Oh yea..sorry Terry. Yes, it's the total number of units ordered that counts towards the tier level.

Hi Chris,

Any idea of the output from 18" compared to Kino Flo Diva, Litepanels Astra, or Westcott Flex?

Billy

I've used Divas and this blow them out of the water in terms of output as well as color rendition.

Put me down for one 18" and thanks for putting this together!

Does anyone know about the lumen output of these units?
Are there any photometrics available?
This would be good info to have. Even though the test video on the first page had me sold already, especially at 15 feet away on ISO 800 f5.6

Gotcha down.

looks like it has a little meanwell power adapter and a voltage dimmer or is it PWM quality?

They are looking at 3 different ballasts currently for final production. Should know next week on which one they choose.

The 36" is like a 1k in terms of output and the 18" is equivalent to a 500W light. They'll provide me with the photometries next week.

+1 18"

Thanks Chris !
