  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

All my Leica R lenses are on Nikon mount, so I would gladly welcome a Nikon Motion Mount. But I fear that the numbers may not be there to sway RED to make the commitment. Also, with the slew of new lenses coming out over the next couple of years, I may have to rethink what mounts I'll need moving forward.
 
Jim mentioned that the Dragon sensor has a read time twice as fast as the MX sensor. Surely this would eliminate a lot of jello issues (it's pretty minimal on MX if you ask me). So, would it be possible to create another Motion mount that only has the electronic ND system? Can it even be separate from the global shutter technology? Just curious.
 
You can add me to the yes please on the Canon EF Motion Mount.

But, PL first please :)

I think Jarreds having fun. Pretty certain a Canon Magic mount was announced from the beginning with the PL mount delivering first?
 
Fantastic :) Canon motion mount makes more sense for my use than PL in fact, for its ND characteristics at least. Canon mount is for the days I'm rigged small... PL probably already means my rig is bloating with acc's and filtration is just one of the many bolt ons.

Ha ha. Looks like it's sitting next to you on a park bench. Perhaps you're on a date with the Canon Mount? No love for Nikon?

Happiness is a warm Motion Mount.

I'm bloody excited about this little gem.

I can't fathom anybody who would not be excited by this thing.
 
Tiny thing- could we get a slim clip on plastic cover for the back of the mount? Would apply to all of course... I change mounts like I change my socks, and even storing them in a nice little peli doesn't stop crap getting in them from behind.
 
I am so looking forward to dumping my extensive collection of ND filters. Jarred does the LCD screen equally block IR and visible light or should I swap my NDs for IR hot mirrors?
