  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

NAB 2011 update...

NAB rooms at the Rivera for $52. If you're looking for convenient and cost effective, seems like the place to be.

hey guys if you book your flight + hotel through orbitz, its even cheaper than the nab discount to stay at the reveira $37 a night.
 
Got a Vegas deal through Southwest for wife and me. 2 flights and 4 nights at the MGM Signature for about $950. Not too bad considering the hotel is pretty new.
 
Still trying to make it to NAB... I've got an overlap with the Seattle Wrox iOS developer conference. Which really sucks because I want to do the All In Film poker tourney at the Hard Rock on the 11th. I don't think I can get out of Seattle until the 11th mid-morning. By then I'll already know all the NAB surprise goodies. Assuming they don't leak out the few days before... Why does life treat me this way?

OK, I decided having fun in Vegas was more important than my iOS development conference. I'll be staying at the Hard Rock.

I also got my seat in the All In Film poker tournament at the Hard Rock on the 11th. Oh, man that's going to be a long day...
 
Just found out that I'm going, happy as Larry!!

Can't make the 11th, unfortunately, as I've got to give evidence at a bloody court case. Bah!

Really looking forward to seeing what Red are gonna serve up by way of surprises, and also looking forward to meeting face to face some of my fellow RedUsers - hopefully see a few of you there!!

went to NAB in 2008 while working for thePlatform in Seattle, WA. It was madness! The convention center is the largest building I have ever been in, as it has perhaps 4 "rays" coming off of the main hub that are each the largest warehouses I have ever been in. That was my first taste of red and i of course have never looked back. Since that week three years ago, I have been positioning my small production company to be Red ready when the time came. I cant believe it is almost upon us! My first feature completed two months ago (check out the trailer at http://www.thelastofus.com )and hopefully the buzz will get me some clients that will have a project worthy of Red!

Thank you Jim and the Red team from the bottom of my heart. As a 29 year old film maker, I feel that you at Red have enabled me to stand on the shoulders of giants and start imagining cinema the way it was always meant to be imagined..... with technical freedom, future compatibility, and rich colorful images. Thank you.
