  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

M-X at ISO 2000...

Does anyone know if the read/reset time is better when doing upgrade to M-X in a RED ONE? I'm guessing that's something built into the sensor and that it will improve with the RED ONE also - not just Epic.

The read/rest time on the M-X sensor to double what the original sensor was. Its almost the same speed as film. So no more rolling shutter.

Excuse my French, but:

This looks like that the near future will make it possible to do a night exterior shot just with battery powered LED lights.

Martin - looks like you've got way too much talent........and time
Nice one man!!!

All what you need are Lite Panels Micro Series, a fast prime lens and your R-1-M-X then you are ready to go!!!

Our happy times are coming soon!!!!

Jim was smart doing this RED Day because I wasn't thinking too much about upgrading my RED One to the M-X sensor. But now its high on my list of things to do. Also if I wanted to go with stage 2 and then sell my upgraded RED I could do so much easier I would suspect.

Holy cow. Where is the noise? Really no filter applied? :O It looks totally stunning.

Cant wait to see the raw files of a low light recording with MX to take an investigative dive into the channels.

If I may make a request - if you happen to have the chance - can you also shoot some cheap short screenscreen shot somewhere I would love to have a go at keying with the new sensor material - maybe you happen to run across a screenscreen set with an upgraded R1 in hand.

please batch...batch...batch the updates and stop this punishment!!!

was a 3200 or a 5600 match??? :-)

Congrats!

so the signal to noise ratio looks fine so far on the stills... great thing.... but what i want to see is how the new sensor deals with high contrast and movement. you know the never ending story of image stutter..... and how it looks like on a big screen in digital and analog projection.... but what we get on info so far looks incredible.... in the arena there will be three big dealers and we will see who will do the best job in imagery and handling.... as post workflow.... so please keep on improving and listening to the crowd...

best regards

rainer
