  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

The only way you get realistic feedback on Komodo is to give it to some Independent DOP.
Somebody who never used Red before. But who will take that Pepsi Challenge?

Absolutely, 100%, do not expect a "review" from me.

I will give you all something better and far more useful than that however if this camera interests you.
 
oh man, game on. Awesome to see one in the wild and in the best possible hands when it comes to getting data out to the shooters :)

In my opinion Philip Bloom isn't an authority when it comes to camera reviews. In my opinion, he doesn't have to much knowledge and skills. I don't like his reviews...

I would posit that as with every camera system, whoever does that review must have the necessary skills and a good understanding of the raw process.

Hopefully I'm in the second batch, so I will soon join you in the journey of discovery...

If you are on the fence about getting one, or you are new to RED and since the firmware is still pre-release, I would advise you to hold a bit.
It's not often that you see such a pretty little beast that is capable of kicking some serious ass and make gorgeous pictures while doing it!
Got some interesting personal projects where Komodo will shine!
