  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Either this guy has exceptionally large hands, or...

the days of a RED ONE/ARRI 435 with an Angie 24-290... were... like... those were the days...

Is it time also for another what Komodo is NOT?

That's Mike Will holding a Komodo and what appears to be a SmallHD screen. Hard to say exactly what's going on there, but it looks like the display is mounted to something on top of Komodo *hopefully allowing tilt and swivel use.

I was previously suspecting perhaps a small popup and rotating touch screen up there, but this certainly makes me think there isn't something like that.

That kinda sucks, a shitty smallhd screen? meaning, there is no built in viewing method, and probably not even pogo ports for a cable-less red monitor. hmm.

You caught the lack of SDI also..... Komodo has no HDMI, right????

OK..... Is this Komodo got to do anything with Hydrogen ethos? If SmallHD can act as a monitor, what the purpose of even buying or enticing into purchasing the Hydrogen phone? (Which I have never been able to get running as a phone and a slightly used Al and a Titanium is sitting in it's box).

Jarred is a notorious tease and slow plays his hand as to where Hydrogen fits into the whole picture. We don't really know exactly what's up with Hydrogen other than the fact it gets you a nice discount straight away on Komodo from the first post in the thread.

I wouldn't be shocked either if Hydrogen owners got ordering priority of some sort. We also don't know if Al or Ti means anything in relationship to Komodo or heck even Hydrogen 2 for that matter.

Likely something to do with those little shiny gold pins on the top of the camera....

Thank you for the top picture, but how the hell are you able to add information and bring more questions at the same time. I thought the top view would satisfy my curiosity, but no, still more thoughts......

Happy as hell to see a screen up there. Big time!

Even happier you're continuing with the pogo/cableless mentality. I know I'm not everybody in this industry but with DSMC2 I haven't missed using Cine Arms at all and the ludicrous time cableless actually saves has been a huge benefit.

How will the Hydrogen mount to Komodo and will there be a RED mount or GDU?

What the hell is that black shiny surface on the top, a screen?

Handle on the side or not how you use this guy...

Why cant I have one now?

How much does it weight?
