Looks great!

Thanks Eric :-)

With all the talk of still glass for cinema work (and I dont think EPIC is an exception) I thought I would post this...It's our new O-Ring Friction Driver and works quite well. Direct contact with the rubber focus wheel of the lens and the follow focus drive assembly.

O-Ring Friction Driver - different sizes?

Yes...

Now that you mention it; we need a larger gear so that the hard stop feature of the mini FF can reach end to end on some still lenes. No Problem!

Eric, thanks for all your posts. I'm really excited about O'Connor's direction these days.

You said in that video you posted that the matte box can be attached to 19mm studio rods, but I don't see how from O'connor's website. It looks like there is only a lightweight 15mm mounting bracket. Is there an adaptor? Thanks for your time Eric.

OConnor makes an adapter to attach the O-Box to the support bridge for the O-Grips, thus giving multiple mounting points for grips and taking up less room on the rods. There are also other standard adapters for getting to studio rods, such as Abel's own AB1519 (for 19mm studio) and AB-1515 (for 15mm studio).

The gear wheel mounting is the same on both the new mini follow focus as on the CFF-1. So whatever rubber ring wheel is made for one will work on the other.

What's the latest on this product, on actual availability in Los Angeles. There was mention of a group discount earlier, any further news?

I believe we'll have them in this week or next. Customs issues. As one can imagine, air shipments have been receiving LOTS of scrutiny as of late.

I have my o'box and grips! (UK)

Just no Redone at the moment (it's in MX city)

Looks very strong. Will put some pics up when I get camera back.

OConnor is on it...

We don't mess around!

Eric, just want to say that I love what you guys are doing, and the thought that is going into making these products. You've been associated with great products in the past, so no surprise these new ones are coming out so great. Keep it going. Great price on the mattebox too by the way.

Thanks Steve,

We at OConnor appreciate the kind words. It’s not easy to design, engineer, and machine from solid the most cutting edge camera accessories known to man…I think Jarred could agree with this considering some recent posts on this forum.

It’s not an easy thing to do and unless you have done it for yourself (and a worldwide audience) you may be surprised at what can happen.

But we have; first with the CFF-1, then the O-Grips; and finally the O-Box WM outlining the beginning of our best of the best mechanical accessory program. Certainly not without its problems; but the difference being we are here- and I am here- to make sure everything is OK. And I hope that gives all of you piece of mind.

With more to come…

Do you have a 150-144 clamp ring? I don't see it listed anywhere but it would really come in handy for RED zooms. Also, does OC make a 15mm and 19mm studio bracket? I love the build and the numerous mounting points. Looking to put money down on one after playing with it at Abel. Also, great price on all the step downs and clamp on rings.

Yes this will be one of the new rings in the program...in the meantime I suggest a Lindcraft $10 Neoprene reduction ring to cover the 150mm to 144mm difference.

A clamp ring will negate the circular filter use in the rear bellows.

Abel Cine Tech has all sorts of 15mm LWS to Studio adapters. OConnor has it’s own but personally I suggest the AB-1519.
