  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Interchangable OLPFs

Brent, thanks. That wasn't made entirely clear when the OLPF upgrade was first announced, mostly we were just scrambling to email the upgrades account to get in the queue. Mine JUST arrived at RDC for the upgrade today.

While it'd have been nice to have the LLO OLPF ship along with the STH OLPF which is being installed, I understand the disparity between shipping times. Hopefully the extra kits will begin shipping soon so we can try out the MODULAR part of the design.
 
Just got my Epic-X upgraded to Dragon and interchangeable OLPF.
 
My bombsqad rep Amazing Kelly assured me i was so early but just to be absolutely sure brent ol boy how would i check as to a time/stamp for the oplf purchase? Ive had my Camera back for nearly a month...

Brent, can I un-order? I've got the V2 OLPF already installed in both cameras and until the IR and other specialty versions come out I don't really need the Interchangeable setup.

Do you mean the first contact or the follow up? Got the email about a week ago and said to put me down for two self-installed kits w/STH OLPF, instead of the send-in. Should I do a re-reply to the notification email or should I just wait for a second contact when the kits start shipping?

Heh. I'm actually ridiculously into this concept and think a fair amount of shooters will be too. Especially once we get done to the specialty IR Color and IR Black and White OLPFs.

FYI, for those counting and keeping track. I've swapped out the OLPFs 44 times! It's a pretty easy thing to do.

Agree, Phil. I will be too when that time comes, but for now I'm quite satisfied with the V2/STH version and there's no need to install the kits containing the same OLPF. When the time comes, I'll make that move but there's just no pressing need for it at the moment.
 
I wish I'd said no thanks. I sent the camera in via overnight, on monday, and it's been there since tuesday. I was told this upgrade would be done in 1-2 business days in time to get back by tomorrow.

Turns out the IOB board has to be upgraded, which would push the delivery till next week. I have a shoot I leave for on sunday/monday AM. Now it's looking like I'll have to sub-rent. Really really unhappy about this situation.

Ughhh....
