It appears to be every bit as solid as the full Quick Release plate. We've had fully loaded Epics on ours without a problem

We just got our first mini plate and was wondering if anyone knew if there was a measurable difference in stability, or robustness between the mini and standard sized QR plates?

Or is the mini just better (smaller lighter cheaper)?

I don't have either, but my guess is that the mini is ideal for lightweight setups on monopods and such. A full rig would be better on the regular size plate.
