  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

IBC - Motion Mount ready to ship...

Interesting that there's no HRDX when the Motion Mount is installed. Not that it's an issue, but it sort of hints as to where the guys have plugged in the technology.

Looking forward to this, as I can finally stop messing with mattebox combos for my Squarefronts :)

one tiiiiiny question please (pssst: Redmote Pro)

one tiiiiiny question please (pssst: Redmote Pro)

with the splendor of Dragon and the Canon motion Mount.... will we ever see the Redmote Pro?
It seems like the last important DSMC element that will revolutionize light weight filmmaking with no compromises.
:nopity:

And just another quick thought before I hit the zzzzs tonight.

Also in the manual there's a setting on the Motion Mount configuration where you can "display effective ISO".

This is a really cool idea especially if you're fond of shooting at a "sweet spot ISO" like say ISO 800. 4 stops under gets you ISO 50 effectively, 8 gets you further still. Hello daylight shooting.

And also if you don't need the flare control, contrast, and filter tray benefits of a matte box, the Motion Mount really saves very real weight from your kit.

What should be noted is that the Optimo DPs are not compatible with the motion mount because of the non standard flange depth of the Optimos. Maybe worth noting on the product page to avoid problems beforehand?

From the manual:

... the MOTION MOUNT TI PL is not compatible with the Angénieux Optimo DP Series of lenses, including the Optimo DP 30-80 and the Optimo DP 16-42. The flange depth for these lenses does not meet the standard specification for PL lenses, so using these lenses with the MOTION MOUNT TI PL will break the glass in the lens mount.

I want one! Need to get that money together.

Ordered canon version, fantastic, can l have it by 19th September filming in Sorrento Italy week 23rd, so need this, please please!

Looks like a great option for extreme sports & nature capture and to achieve specific shots for narrative shooting but I can't imagine it as a permanently installed do all mount for narrative production since it has a polarizer built in and polarizers do unfortunate things to skin (mess with the natural reflectivity of skin). But great to have options.

ordered...nothing more to say

Yes. Thank you so much. After seeing this at NAB, I knew it would be a must have. I have projects in the pipe that will greatly benefit from this. Thanks again.

Ordered. This will help me a ton out on remote locations. All I have to say is, Thanks!
