  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Fun...

One other thing that makes this so fun is the fact that we know the "other guys" are scrambling to respond. It is like a chess match. But we have "Mate" in sight. And the winner is our customer. (which is all of us)

Its comforting to see how easy it is for Jim to keep mum on any potential developments. LOL! Stick to your guns, we will wait. With great anticipation, but we will wait.

It's killing me that you're no longer telegraphing your intentions.

Any more hints? You're doing a 180 with Scarlet? You've found a way to mass produce unobtanium? Trust us, we won't tell anyone else!!111! :lipsrsealed:

All the patience of these people here... I must have spent mine on my kids the last couple of weeks.

OK Guys, I will admit what I know about the Scarlet. It will be made with Adamantium.

I would appreciate if you can let us know more about Mr. Frederic. It is great that you are not forgetting to give credit. It might appear to be a small thing, however, these are some of the traits of leaders - to give credit where it is due.
Cheers,
Sabyasachi

There is one person who probably won't ever get the credit he deserves for RED when all is said and done... Frederic. I talked to him 1st about this project. He introduced me to Ted and Graeme. He did a lot of the legwork in 2005.

I'd like to tip my hat to Frederic. He is now doing what he loves. So are we. Isn't life grand?

Jim

I don't think Adamantium has the performance characteristics required contain the alpha particles emitted by Scarlet's thermonuclear space-time distorting core.

Jims probably gone to sleep. I mean, it's, like, after midnight in California right now. Any sensible CEO is in his jammies cutting ZZZZ's right now. :)
LOL. Sensible, CEO and Jim in one post. I don't think the traditional meaning of the word sensible applies to Jim. The world needs more people like him - that would adjust the meaning of the word 'sensible' to its proper meaning.

I want to live in that world.

Each man is great in his own right. Jim, you are an inspiration to many. In one of the threads, someone had suggested you to do the presentation at TED or someone else asking to deliver a lecture at an Ivy league school. I am sure the idea is for people to know more about the psyche of a leader. There are great learnings for mere mortals like us. May be we can have a separate section here or whereever it can be. I would love to know how leaders like you work around obstacles. How you get this confidence and motivate many people. When RED was started it was just a concept - vapour to many. Its a long journey and am sure this is just a starting. I am intrigued. Would love to know what drives you.

Cheers,
Sabyasachi

Steve is on a different level. I'd prefer to never be named in the same sentence.

I am having so much fun... the kind of fun where you worry about the Police showing up. Really... it is hard to describe.

This is the single most interesting and challenging thing I could have ever imagined being involved in. Every time I pick up my EPIC, I can hardly believe it. My eyes get the size of golfballs and the feeling is "new" every time I touch it.

The experience here at Reduser is the icing on the cake. This forum is a phenomenon in and of itself. I can't tell you how inspiring it is to have so many support and contribute to what we are doing on a daily basis. This has become my 2nd home.

The people I work with at RED make me so proud. I have seen people rise up and perform beyond all expectations... seemingly 24 hours a day and for years now without rest. Hard to believe. I am in awe.

I really feel like the luckiest guy in the world. I'm not that smart for this to happen without the moon and stars lining up and without a ton of impossible work being done by a truly great group of people...

Thanks to all of you that camp here and push us... and make this so f#¢$ing much fun.

Jim

Now, now. After so much playing its time to share all those toys with the rest of the kids

I am absolutely bursting with excitement to try out our DEEP ATOM later this year. We are planning an expedition out into the Coral Sea to shoot our 3D show reel and start shooting my first 3D film. This will be the culmination of many years working as an underwater film maker and I am overwhelmed by the anticipation of the extraordinary images I am sure we will capture. Hail to Jim and the fantastic Red team.

Jim you make it so very easy to get behind your company, as you are producing the cameras of our dreams at prices we can reasonably afford. And on top of all that you provide an inside track into everything you are doing and are 100% committed to your customers. Show me another company that does all of this.

Most imaginative billionaires seem content dreaming up exotic sports cars.

It is great to have you back here. It's always ex ting to hear from you, even if it's not camera related !
Thank you so much for building the company which has been so much overdue. Something we could only dream of.
I keep my fingers crossed that this ride will last forever. Stay sharp and stay on top - you guys deserve it.
Finally somebody who really listens and really holds up the "customer is king" parole. Obsolescence obsolete. You did it!

Thank you so much for the ride. This is second family even if I'm only partially involved - yet...

Patrick
