  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Fun...

Glad you're having fun Jim, wish I could be in the same spot and have my Epic next to me.
Starting my best yet project next week without One...is painful.

I guess this post smells like something big coming...

Jim

Jim, you have this knack of leaving a few lines that lifts the human spirit, little hints of how the world will soon change forever and for the greater good. I swear it keeps me up at night, it makes my days a little brighter and adds excitement and anticipation...I love it ! I am so thankful I got involved with this community, I couldn't imagine a day without Red in my life.

I am having so much fun... the kind of fun where you worry about the Police showing up. Really... it is hard to describe.

This is the single most interesting and challenging thing I could have ever imagined being involved in. Every time I pick up my EPIC, I can hardly believe it. My eyes get the size of golfballs and the feeling is "new" every time I touch it.

The experience here at Reduser is the icing on the cake. This forum is a phenomenon in and of itself. I can't tell you how inspiring it is to have so many support and contribute to what we are doing on a daily basis. This has become my 2nd home.

The people I work with at RED make me so proud. I have seen people rise up and perform beyond all expectations... seemingly 24 hours a day and for years now without rest. Hard to believe. I am in awe.

I really feel like the luckiest guy in the world. I'm not that smart for this to happen without the moon and stars lining up and without a ton of impossible work being done by a truly great group of people...

Thanks to all of you that camp here and push us... and make this so f#¢$ing much fun.

Jim

You inspire people and they make you proud....only a few can do....

Thanks Jim! Reduser has been one of the best discoveries for me, I feel so grateful for this forum and the privilege of being able to listen to you here. AND all the amazing Red team, the other Red owners, and more. It's just beyond awesome.

I really, really hope to contribute to the Red movement in a meaningful way, I've never ever found a company so worth getting behind. Keep up the great work and hope to see more amazing things -- including all those releases you just cited!

MainGear Shift ordered today. Check. Adobe Creative Suite CS5.5 software and training. Check. MacPro and FCP sold on ebay. Check. Screenplay written. Check. This can mean only one thing. And one thing only. Scarlet.

Vanity Fair's Tina Fey is my favorite...

I've witnessed two major moments in my professional life so far that have defined what I love doing and for which I'll always be grateful.

First was the Macintosh.

Then, the web.

I feel I'm just about to witness the third.

Thanks Jim, not only are your products revolutionary, your passion is also a source of inspiration.

One other thing that makes this so fun is the fact that we know the "other guys" are scrambling to respond. It is like a chess match. But we have "Mate" in sight. And the winner is our customer. (which is all of us)

I was a consultant for S--Y in developing their DVCAM line. There was a little bit of vision, but mostly covering your ass in the corporate pecking order. No place for large leaps of imagination. I had a feeling at the 2007 NAB that Red was a different deal. I'm excited to see it work out that way.
