  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

EPIC-X UPDATE

negligible. The only real difference is the M, since it is machined, will have greater structural strength.
 
Awesome. Totally understandable. Excited to see more people share my joy of the Epic camera. Jarred keep up the good work.

We will most likely still be stage 2 on your birthday Per. Remember.. after assembly ( not 5 minutes btw... not sure where that came from. ) There is days worth of testing and QA for each camera... we don't just bolt the pieces together and then throw it in a box and hope it turns on when you get it :)

That and of course the fact that all the parts for everyone in the world's cameras don't show up in one day.. vendors send parts in batches as they make them.. which is why EPIC-X cameras will be sent out in batches.

But don't worry.. I am not trying to scare you.. there will be a nice steady pace of cameras being popped out of the oven.. our manufacturing facility and the people running it are incredibly strong.

Great news! any idea how stage 4 ordering will go? Will it one day pop up in the store, and is it first come first serve then? And around when do you think to make it to stage 4, end of october for example?
 
I was telling my wife about all the Epic news over dinner tonight. Then she said something magical to me.... she said... "So, when are you getting your's?"

God I love that woman!
 
If I understand this correctly, the week of August 29th will be when they start shipping, which could mean some of us with earlier delivery dates from our R1 could be getting our "Your Epic is ready to ship" e-mails sometime next week...
 
Is stage 4 still gonna be available by the end of the year? I never made money in college so the Red One was never an option for me, that's why I'm stuck in stage 4. But I make the big bucks now!! And it's all for Red. But I refuse to pay the extra $7,000 starting Janurary 1st!

Jim mentioned we should be able to put our orders in before the end of the year either way.
