  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

EPIC-X STAGE 3 and 3.5 Now Begins...

It is in the terms of sale you would have to agree to if you execute for Stage 3 or 3.5.

If you follow the thread, all stage 3/3.5 orders have to be in by 1st Dec. They start shipping then. Jarred has said in past posts that stage 4 would be able to order before 31st Dec price rises. So my guess is stage 3/3.5 must have their orders in by 1st Dec because after that, they will open up for us stage 4's which I guess will ship come January.

Jarred, help me out if I'm wrong here!!!

EEEK... I've been waiting so long for stage 3 and the moment it goes live and I login to Red.com it tells me:

You have no camera(s) eligible for this upgrade.

I have Red One number 445 and have owned it since brand new so I figure it should be there. I've contacted Dan Baum, my bomb rep but I'm a little concerned this might not be looked at until Monday morning. Is there anyone available to talk too now about this? I understand Red are busy with Scarlet and said not too call. I'm sure it'll be fixed but I'm ever so slightly concerned.

Our stage 3.5 camera was stolen... I'm not expecting anything really, but to make sure I'm not missing something: Eligibility is tied to both delivery date and the physical camera/serial no. itself? ie. RED expects that exact camera back for trade in, not just any old Red One we may have chosen to replace it with?

Moot point really as we bit the bullet and bought an Epic-M and now a scarlet to back it up, but foolish not to ask.

As I understand it European costumers will get the camera from RED Europe.
Shall we do the money transaction with Red USA or Red Europe?

Custom duty will be added as I understand it. How much is that on a stage 3 package straight up with no extras?
I guess I should send you our VAT number at some point in the proceedings?

We just got our notification for stage 3.5 today, which is great news but something is puzzling me.

According to the description, our RED One is eligable for a $17,500 credit against an Epic Brain at $27,500 yet the BUY NOW price from the link we were sent says $5,000. Normally on the store, it says DEPOSIT if it's a deposit but this doesn't.

Am I missing something?
 
My stupid question of the day (please, delete it if it's just a waste of time):
I've paid my camera in July 2010 so it's not elligible for any of the stage (except the 4, maybe?).
Is there any chance I could enter Stage3 or 3,5?

Nothing announced yet Richard - but I think they will open up Stage 4 reservations and deposits around then to allow orders before the 1st January 2012 price rise. At least thats what I think and hope.

Thanks. I had an email. It just didn't appear in store when I logged in. I think I've had an issue with my account from the get go not showing me as a camera owner.
As Martin has asked should we speak to you about payment being as I'm in England? If so I'll wait until Monday to give you a call and arrange accessories and payment.
