I don't think so. But I read an article the other day comparing it to other digital cinema cameras, and it was a good comparison and level headed article. I'm trying to find this article wondering if anyone has a link to it?

Talks about the RED being 3.5k not 4k. And the data transfer rate in comparison to f35, d21.

Please don't delete this post, im trying to research for a presentation.

strange way to do a presentation...

Scott, if it's the article I'm thinking of, it was hardly un-biassed or level headed, instead full of FUD. I'd not use it as the basis of any scholarly work, IMHO.

Doesn't really help, if i wanted it to cool down I would use ice packs. But thanks. Link anyone? This is a reminder. I don't think the camera sucks, in fact my whole career has shifted and moulded around the existence of this camera. But I want to make people realize RED isn't always the best option for a shoot.

There is no one perfect camera for all purposes. Not sure if there ever will be, but we're certainly trying. Every camera ever made has gotchas, but often the arguments are more subtle than some people grasp with their understanding of the nuances of how things work. One thing that doing camera design does tell you is that you can't ignore the nuances or ignore treating the camera as a whole system from lens through to post.
