With the release of number of feature films shot on Red One increasing day by day from Chennai, India would expect a roadshow for DPs in South India from Red.

Is there any possibilities?

Ethirmarai is the first feature in Asia to use both Red One and Phantom HD (consists of one full song running for 5 minutes shot on 1000fps) is a psychological thriller.

Tamil Padam (Genre - Comedy) is shot by ace DP Nirav Shah is complete spoof film.

Thambikku Entha Oru is regular commercial tamil feature film.

Interms of digital projection we have both 2K D-Cinema and 1.3k E-Cinema projection catering various centres more 3000 and above screens in India. Interms of Tamil Nadu we have 450 screens from QUBE Cinemas (Real Image Media Technologies PVT Ltd.) and 150 screens from UFO Moviez.

I've seen some very high-FPS shots in a couple of Tamil films. One is in Anniyan, when the frog jumping into a water puddle or something. The other is the song "Unnai Kandene" from Parijatham. Were those shot on the Phantom, some other HD camera, or 35mm?

Ethirmarai was the first feature film in Asia to use High Speed Digital Cinema Camera. The other two uses film cameras and not digital cinema cameras.
