I have a RED ONE and will be trading it in for an epic using the stage 3 upgrade path, but I am wondering, have things changed since this post? Do we only get the epic brain for the trade in or do we the still get the epic-x package mentioned in this post?

I think everything in that post/graphic is still valid.

Oh, except the dates, of course.

Jim remarked at the RED event in Vegas that Scarlet is roughly 2 months behind Epic at this point, but that has been pretty consistent and doesn't expect it to change a whole lot. Of course, we don't know when Epic is even going to begin shipping and things always change at RED ("count on it"). So the best we know is that it shouldn't be trailing Epic by too long, but with that date still being unknown, all of the speculation is still premature.

The RED ONE was game-changing, but I think they're hitting it out of the park with this one...

The MX was an incredible jump and really is changing everything. The Epic is looking just f*cking awesome.

I believe that stage 4 is as they stated. Available to everyone else who isn't upgrading. There shouldn't be a preferential treatment, even for thoses who purchased Reds after Oct. 30.
