Early EPIC prototypes are working and taking incredible pictures...

We expect the Tattoo EPICs to be out in May.

Given our commitment to debug and enable most features before shipping production models, we expect a 2-3 month shakedown of Tattoo which puts Stage 2 delivery somewhere in the neighborhood of July-August. A lot depends on what happens throughout the Tattoo period.

The program is real... you will see in a few days.

This is great!
However, I have deiced to get a fully rigged Scarlet 2/3", and a fully rigged Scarlet S35 (opposed to a barebones epic).
Be frank with me, is scarlet development running parallel to epics or not? :beatdeadhorse5:
Will I find this all out around the 14th?

July or August looks great. I'm in. Great news jim. This is gonna be a great year for RED and redusers.

lots of good news lately. great to hear things are rolling along!

Thanks for the notice to plan. Much appreciated!

Just can't wait to see what a difference a year makes since the glass cages and the RPP Lens Booth of REDUSER PARTY 2009. :)

Scarlet is trailing only slightly.

Thanks for the update Jim! So instead of May/June are we looking at June/July or as late as August?

vague, but satisfying.
I can't wait for October/November then!
We live in amazing times where a student (aka: me) can buy a Digital movie making machine equivalent in sensor size and resolution to what the pro's use.

Awesome news!

Mike just asked my next question for me. Just wondering how fast production will ramp up on the Epic.

Any idea how quick you guys will move through the reservation line ie will there be a lot of product shipping at once or will it be more like the pace of RED ONE and MX sensor upgrade pace?

should be much faster ( when no supplier makes problems), it will be build and be put in a box. an mx upgrade is more like a surgery
