Nice job fellas, congrats! Already placed my order for the 15mm RodMount Audio!

I saw the stuff in real and I'm blown away by it.
If Red doesn't come up with some crazier stuff then this is the way to go.

Rock on Brian, Justin, Daryl and the rest of the AP Team

Thank you sir!! Make it official, "like us" on our Innocinema Facebook and Google+ pages. :thumbup1:

Thank you for your kind words Tim and everyone for that matter. I cannot put it into words how much it is our pleasure to be doing things like this. Myself and my brothers Brian and Daryl have a deep passion for this industry and are honored to have the opportunity to be creative in anyway we can. I assure you, we are not through yet, we are just getting started. Thanks again! :cheers2:

This all looks great, but I still don't understand how the feed gets to the top plate and does it act as a second HDSDI to the one on the body. Can you use both at the same time ?

Thanks, very excited about all the possibilities!

Hey Erik! The EPIC TopPlate comes with 3 cables, making it ready to go right out of the box. This plate utilizes a power D-TAP cable, HDSDI BNC cable, and a 4 pin LEMO cable. This allows for the unit to work standalone, or along side our upcoming EPIC Power Distributor with V-Mount/Gold Mounts.

If used standalone, you would just distribute the 3 cords accordingly…

  1. D-TAP with any industry standard battery
  2. HD-SDI BNC connecting into HDSDI port on the EPIC
  3. 4 pin LEMO connecting in the SYNC port on the EPIC
When used with our EPIC Power Distributor, all the cords will be neatly tucked away.

Here is some more information on what functionality is brought to our EPIC TopPlate utilizing the 4 pin LEMO in the EPIC’s sync port…
“A 4-pin LEMO connector supports shutter synchronization input, GPI, timecode and genlock signals.
The shutter Sync Input signal acts as an immediate response hardware trigger to commence a scan. This is useful for motion control and other applications where the camera is driven by a master timing device. When using SYNC as the camera shutter timing reference, fine shutter start time timing (SHUTTER PHASE) is disabled, make any timing adjustments at the external SYNC generator itself.
Alternatively, this input pin may be used as a GPI (General Purpose Input) trigger, whose function is programmed in the USER KEYS menu. Default is Record Start / Stop.
A SMPTE timecode input signal provides a frame accurate time stamp for each frame of recorded video.
A Video Genlock input signal may be used as a vertical interval reference signal for applications that require precise synchronization between cameras, such as 3D and live broadcasts. When using GENLOCK as the camera shutter timing reference, fine shutter start time timing (SHUTTER PHASE) may be adjusted.” From RED EPIC Operation Guide.

Here's a picture where our EPIC utilizes the TopPlate and V-Mount/Gold Mount, but also shows our other accessories. (all accessories will be anodized to match the EPIC in their finished version!)

Hello everyone! We've noticed some discussion about our upcoming EPIC V-mount/Gold Mount, and wanted to update everyone on its progress...

Unfortunately, we are still undergoing testing and manufacturing at the moment. However, we hope for this to be available in 6 weeks. As always, we will continue to keep everyone updated on its progress as its gets closer to completion.

We also recently released an update on our other EPIC accessories (TopPlate w/ Power/Video Distribution, Riser Plate, XLR Audio Adapter, XLR Audio Adapter + Riser Plate, 15mm RodMount Audio, 15mm RodMount Lite, 15mm RodMount Lite + Riser), with their prices + shipping ETA. (here)

Last but not least, here are some pictures.

Here we go ...
Of course parts are not anodized on the photo. Parts are getting anodized and getting laser engravings now. We will start shipping in about 10 days. Limited amount is available for the first batch. This first photo shows the shoulder mount with our Bridge plate, Arri Adapter mount, rods and SwapPack with swivel. More information on its way ....

newshouldermount_01.jpg

Here is the standard setup (shoulder mount with Arri Adapter Plate). We will also be offering only the shoulder mount part (w/o the Arri Adapter Plate). You can use basically any dovetail or tripod plate you want to as long as it has standard 3/8" and 1/4" treads. Our Arri Adapter Plate however offers a very narrow setup for use with any arri compatible bridge plates (Arri, RED, ET ...). Regular plates are normally thicker and therefore further away from the bridge plate.

Photo shows setup for "under" the camera". Note: the shoulder part can be tilted for perfect angle fitting.

newshouldermount_02.jpg

... and hear the setup for "behind" the camera. There are even more setup variations. We will show them with a REDone and Epic setup and also showing different full rigs with rods, battery mounts and handles of course. These and prices etc. will follow within the next few days.
