ESTIMATED TO BEGIN SHIPPING IN FALL 2016

The DSMC2™ V-Lock Battery Module is a low profile cable-free module that enables you to power your DSMC2 BRAIN® and camera accessories using RED BRICK and third-party batteries. The V-Lock and protected release button ensure ongoing power even during mobile shoots.

This DSMC2 battery module also offers a P-Tap connector for powering peripherals and accessories. Located on the top of the module, the P-Tap connector supports a maximum current of 3.0 Amps.

Manufactured from robust aluminum alloy, this DSMC2 battery module offers a blend of utility and power support in a lightweight and space-saving form factor. The DSMC2 V-Lock Battery Module is an ideal power solution for use with most DSMC2 expanders. Alternatively, connect the DSMC2 V-Lock Battery Module directly to your DSMC2 BRAIN for a low-profile, battery-only power configuration.

Still on the fence if I should get this plus the standard expander, or a V-lock expander

IMO this plus standard expander to keep your modular options open.

Now that's a sexy price. And also a notable difference between the RED and Element Technica version for sure is ET's two 2-pin AUX LEMO Power outs.

For super, super small setups you could use this DSMC2 V-Lock plate and the new REDVOLT-V straight on the camera brain.

Total weight on DSMC2 bodies should be really lightweight. Likely sub 6lbs.

any chance of adding AUX power out like the 2x 0b 2Pin Lemo

I know I was reading it while I was typing. only asked so i can decide if I'm ordering the ET. and I decided I will.

Cool. See.. flexibility :) That's what it's all about my friend.

Are ET products shipped on sundays or weekdays only? sorry to go off topic just about to put that order in rn...

oh man.. I was JUST about to order the backpack from Woodencamera..This is very cool, the price is nice. ONE more P-tap would make it superior to anything else out there. Are there any more pictures of this mounted on a standard Base I/O?

Does anyone make a wall power cable with an interface that will connect to the V-mount battery module and provide power to the camera? I know, I know... get a $1900 V-Lock I/O base expander module.

that is what i was going to mention, and the problem i had with WC version.
why arent these made with a way to plug into AC as well, let's say your batteries died, you need to hot swap. there is no way to go with only this module, or you will need to power down every time you switch a battery.
