I leave it on Shutter Speed, but I'm a big boy and know why I do![]()
Keeping it at speed is a great way to keep keep both dp’s and ac’s a bit on toes. To me the degree makes so much more sense when flipping trough odd framerates and such.
Progressive adults.
We have passed the era of mechanical shutters even though, some are trying to hold on to the past. Nothing wrong doing that but, let's move forward.
I dont really see it that way. Sure the degree number where the full frame exposure is equal to 360 is an reference to a spinning mirror. In the digital age maybe we should start talking fractions instead. Like .5 would be equal to 180 deg.
But if going there then you might as well rename iso and call it digital gain and quite a few other things could also be changed.
Maybe its just my math brain thats slow but if I for example shoot 23.96fps and have a shutter time of for example 1/53,5 then if I go to 62,1fps i find it a bit difficult to quckly calculate what speed would create the exact same motion blur / have the same fraction of frame exposing. But when talking degrees its simply the same for both speeds.
Another one I find is a bit odd is the coloring menue where the menu covers pretty much all of the rouch screen. Not easy to see whats done to the image if not having a second monitor.
