  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

DSMC v5.2.28 Release Build

Can you explain what the goal post fix involved? Curious if I need to re-evaluate the data it shows...
Dragon previously had a hyper sensitive left goal post compared to EPIC MX and was not completely matched to the raw exposure check. Both of these issues are now fixed.

Since it is a significant change from the previous behavior, it does make sense to reevaluate both tools.

Great, that's exactly what I was hoping to hear!

Great News!

Zaxcom ERX, ver 1.33 synchs @23.98 @ 2 volts ERX output or>!!! So far spot on, with the ERX native TC. Have not checked for drift. Celebration time. Way to go MARK!!!

At one volt output @23.98, with Zaxcom ERX 1.,3. not completely there yet, but intermittently seeing TC green and appears to be synching with the native ERX TC. A bit wonky getting to it though. I had to go to the extended menu on the ERX and synch 1st at 25, then drop to 23.98, but stay in that menu. Irregular, AFAICT, drop and resynch intervals, with keeping at 23.98 on ERX. Can't get any joy directly to Dragon, with cold boot of ERX, though, at 23.98 or 24, vs. all higher rates fine, as before. I suspect that the nominal voltage from the ERX is not quite at the level or, of course, the Dragon wants to see more than the one volt that worked with Epic.

Thank you very much

Nice.

Great to see this. Jumping all over the exposure and goal post tools, need to get that evaluated quick.

Cheers!

Heard that the beta would feature in-camera saves of black calibrations, is this true for this official release?

There are four user calibrations allowable, in camera

Thank you very much

I'm playing with the firmware. So far this build rocks hard.

Certainly wetting my lips for some OLPF Module goodness. Noticed a couple other new things in there too :)

I'm not certain, but I think this is the first Release Build that supports the 4 custom user Black Shades.

Seriously though. This rocks. Thank you. I'll test out some Timecode related things tomorrow.

Thanks RED team. What about flip video on the LCD? I need it for my set up.

This is the news I have been waiting for. Finally I can gain all the benefits that up till now we're only on the beta build.

READ this ten times and then read it again.

And yeah - huge thanks for this update. VERY accurate now.
SIGNIFICANT CHANGES SINCE PREVIOUS BUILD v5.2.21
* Added UI support for selectable OLPF type
* Fix exposure tool for Dragon
* Fix goal posts for Dragon

YES!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm having a really, really hard time upgrading. It seems something is different like there being no mac OSX option. Not that I needed that because I'm on Windows. But I've made multiple attempts on multiple Dragons using multiple computers (all Windows 7 or 8 machines) to download and drag Force Upgrade folder onto the SSDs (both 1.8" and mini mags)

I hoped not to go through the support ticket procedure if anyone has any idea of the simple little thing that prevents me from upgrading. (When trying to do the upgrade via Dragon menu, it simply says "Upgrade Failed, Force Upgrade file not found."

This has happened previously but I persevered and finally something clicked and I was able to upgrade both cameras. This time I've persevered well into the night, last night, and most of this morning.

Help!
