  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Dragon upgrades

Priority will be given to Carbon owners.
 
Jarred,

A heads up is awesome and appreciated but it also puts a brake on the purchase of any Red modules or mounts or any third party add on as this upgrade may make them obselete. On the upside I'm not spending any money untill NAB.

Yes and Yes... if you upgraded or upgrade your Epic M/X to Dragon before NAB you are eligible. Carbon Dragons get pole position just like last time.

I do not know whether it is possible but if it can be a user interchangeable module then it will be super....

It would seem that the love is going to be directed to Epic Dragons, not Scarlet Dragons. Yes?
 
Shitty comparison because scale and other aspects are off, but this looks like possibly a new body. At the very least a smaller, slimmer side ssd module specifically for minimags? The old side ssd was designed to accommodate the larger redmags in its initial design. So there's some space savings to be had there in a redesign. It looks to be lower on the body as well. Not 100% sure though.

IS there any benefit to not do upgrade to Dragon if we already paid for upgrade but not turned camera in yet? Maybe use cash to buy this new weapon?

So, I had a longer term strategy to go from Scarlet to Epic to Dragon. I was getting close to the first step, the move to Epic. I just didn't want to go Scarlet Dragon. But now, with another advance on the horizon, and Jarred saying Scarlet Dragon is included... I'm stumped.
 
How big of an upgrade is this? Maybe I should I contact my sales rep and switch from my now ongoing Scarlet to EPIC MX upgrade, to Scarlet to Scarlet D upgrade...?
I`m soo teased by this thing :)

Good idea. Make sure to get the MiniMag option. You will need those going forward.

But it seems as if there's already a new side ssd option with weapon. Wouldn't it make more sense to upgrade it then along with it?
 
Is there anything accessory wise we should consider holding off from investing in before we here more about Weapon? Things like old mags, filters, etc.

One question that many will ask, and this is mainly if there are variations on the components and bodies, is if there's a chance to upgrade from the regular "metal stuff" to the carbon fiber route.

Also, extremely pleased this is appearing as an upgrade. Nobody has done this at this level ever. You have customers who have gone Red One to Mysterium-X to Dragon and now to Weapon. Seriously unreal.

Something looks much "quieter" in that picture :) And hey! Where's my 3.5 audio jacks!
 
Hey Jarred,

I am currently getting the money together for my Scarlet to Epic Dragon upgrade (scrambling a lot of faster now though!) and was wondering (with the view of being eventually at the Epic model whether it's cheaper to go to Scarlet Dragon and then to Weapon Epic (?) as opposed to Epic Dragon to Weapon, or whether alternatively it may just about balance out? I guess I am asking in essence what the smartest route to take is for someone in my position?

(Sorry if this does not make too much sense, am typing from my phone)
