Its ok.. as long as you paid you will be included in the chaos even if you havn't actually upgraded yet. Just make sure you keep your bombsquad rep in the loop on your timing as the Dragon upgrade lines will be shutting down and switching over to Weapon mid summer.

Jarred, thanks for the quick reply and the heads up, I will certainly send camera in for upgrade ASAP (plus I've been gagging to shoot bloody Dragon since December!!!). You guys are absolutely amazing, thanks for allowing us small filmmakers shoot like there is no tomorrow! I shoot all across Africa in the most demanding situations and Red Scarlet nor Epic have ever let me down!

But what is this Weapon??? Is it a new camera body that supports the dragon sensor better, better proccessing leading to an overall superior image compared to dragon in the epic body?? Just like the mx sensor did go into the red one, but the full potential and capabilities were possible only in the epic body... is that how it is with the Weapon?? Same sensor but better utilisation or exploitation of its potential and capabilities leading to things like higher frame rates, slightly more DR and latitude, better sensitivity and better colors......

PLEASE tell me there won't be a multi-month wait on this thing. I would love nothing more than to be able to pay for the upgrade the day it's announced and be playing with it a month later. I beg of you...

Like that there will be a Carbon Fiber variant of the Weapon to complement , say my current Carbon Fiber "Fury" #41. Will my other BT M body have a non Carbon Fiber Weapon variant available?

The weight savings for CF keeps getting more favorable...

I just hope (or wish) you guys dumped lens development to focus on lightfield (Lytro-type) tech and that little spot above what we see in that photo, the spot just out of frame, is what is going to make people lose their sh@t at NAB. But then again, maybe that's too crazy. Better low light, higher FPS, 3-second black shade, and wireless video transmission would be rad but I wouldn't lose my ability to keep it together over those improvements. Dragon is already pretty badass. Exciting times. Sorry for always being that guy who brings back the topic of lightfield tech.
