  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Significant changes since previous build v5.1.23:

- Added Dragon 4:1 and 8:1 aspect ratios
- Fix yellow time/shutter returning to ND only from shutter mode
- Fix RAW exposure check for preview & playback
- Fix potential error during user calibration
- Fix folder and firmware binary not deleted after upgrade
- Fix camera pause using Motion Mount and small increment size
- Fix default fan control mode for Dragon Scarlet
- Fix Dragon HD formats 16:9 aspect ratio
- Fix dialog box when calibration import is in progress
- Fix UI updates on import/export of cal file
- Fix flicker in Playback while changing image parameters (i.e., expsoure, etc.)
- Fix ID string when adding/removing new user calibrations
- Fix Look Around in 5.5K mode
- Fix edit feature of User lens calibration
- Fix Motion Mount shutter speeds
- Fix Motion Mount touchscreen slider for ND value
- Fix Motion Mount ND when using rocker
- Fix Motion Mount greyed out 29.97 and 30fps shutter speeds
- Changed display string on calibration export button

Totally freaked me out that the firmware defaulted the fans back to Auto Mode for second there!

Switched back to Adaptive and all is quiet again.
 
Gotta fix your links, Jarred. They go to 5.1.23... QC is SO important...

My colleague Fernando's been shooting a project targeting an 8:1 aspect for specialist projection on our Dragon. Crazy format, but real world uses are out there :)
 
Is this the first beta to differentiate between Epic and Dragon? Don't remember that being the case before.

If you're looking for some (early adopter) beta tester for those baby Dragon... I'm ready here and now !
 
Can we get anamorphic 1.2:1 aspect ratio added back? Not sure WHEN if ever I'll shoot 8:1, but 1.2:1 almost every week!
 
It would be great to have Anamorphic options for all resolutions. Just finished an anamorphic film and it was very annoying not being able to view a desqueezed image when we went to 3K for high speed.
 
A couple of things I found :

When focus mode is set to 'center' it is not possible to set the focus region size.
When I power cycled my Epic, I got a clean display on the LCD. This happened last time I upgraded the beta firmware as well.
The fix was the same : while powered on, unplug and re-plug the LCD.

Can someone explain the relatively new lens calibration feature, maybe a guide on it's usage ?

Just installed the latest beta and I still get the aperture lock once I go past 1.8. This is weird since the first beta had no issue with it.
