  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Even with the GB discount, pricing offered by the French distributor is way more expensive than what you Guys just shown here...
Could anyone from DJI give us a few explanation about that please?
 
I hope to hear something soon from AMP about how much money they are planning on putting back into my PayPal account. BTW, I thought it was against PayPal policy to charge the full amount for pre-orders?
 
Quick question for those who know, does it come with option to mount the LCD on the handle, or do we need to buy third party item for it.
Trying to lock down what i need for it. Longer Cable for sure.

Vincent, as far as I know (which is not that much admittedly) the new EUR price is the new MAP for EU. Which means it should apply to France as well. I'd hazard a guess the French dealer has not got the word yet, or hasn't had time to announce the new price to their clients.

Why do you guys thinik they dropped the price so drastically and suddenly...?

Looks like rentals are kind of out of play at this price point everyone
will just buy one...or two...or three...

It's incredibly interesting for sure. I've got a couple guesses but I think DJI is making a huge bet on these. I think they see these gimbals as a staple in every film arsenal at the same level tripods are. Most likely looking to the next decade for DJI to be synonymous with these in the same vein of "kleenex" = "tissue."

Secondly, they could be using these same gimbals in an upcoming drone in which case they could split their R&D costs between two projects and double their manufacturing orders, therefore reducing the cost per unit considerably. I can't imagine it saving $1000 on each but again, they might be passing almost the full savings along to the customer to solidify their foothold in this new market as stated above.

Either way, I'll take it! :)
 
I got the call from AMP too. So it sounds like we get the difference refunded but we get less than someone who paid full price. I'm still a little confused but apparently the price will be the same for everyone regardless of whether they are part of the group buy or not.

If Ronin delivers what is promised this will be one hell of a piece of kit for the price point.

There are two accessory brackets that come with the Ronin. They have both ¼ and ⅜ threaded holes. You will still need a compact swivel or a noga arm between it and the monitor - most compact monitors now come with the small ball-swivel...

They seem to be selling the ronin for 2999.00 is this real? Has anyone had any experience with this website? I've gotten emails from them for a couple years, but I've never bought anything from them.

Yes, it seems that some dealers jumped the gun. DJI will make official announcement shortly...
