Posted last Thursday. This Thursday is coming to a close on the east coast. So... may I please have a tracking number? I'm begging you. I really don't ever want to have to look at this thread again.

Yup... this is what I've been recalling too... so with Overnight FedEx, they'll be a bunch of us shooting this weekend, right?!!

By the way, does anyone know if it's shipped overnight or 2nd day? I don't mind paying more to overnight it!

edit: which actually shows that i'm either very gullible or unrealistically hopeful. after a few months... you'd think reality would sink in.

The Birger mount was always just about to ship. If I'd known it was going to take this long I would've bought the Nikon mount last spring. No point in buying it now though, since the Birger mount is just about to ship.

Honestly, the RedOne is too expensive for a doorstop and too unwieldy for a paper weight. I pull it out every once in a while to inspire myself to keep figuring ways to pay it off. Then I put it back into the dark, waiting for Birger to deliver.

I think when I hit the power button, and life comes into the camera, it's going to bite my hand for leaving it powered down for so long.

See, in my case, the Birger experience has taught me the art of patience. I placed my early order last November, but for the Nikon version. Judging from what I've seen so far, I figure I'll have my Birger Nikon mount by 2010, YAY!

Considering the fact that nobody posted about receiving their tracking number, I'd guess that no RED mounts shipped since Erik announced a "big shipping day tomorrow" two weeks ago.

We ought to stop kidding ourselves. It ships when it ships, and that may be much later than we think. Announcements are worth nothing.

I do sympathise with Erik, though. I've seen with my software releases how difficult it can be to get everything right. I wouldn't want to do that in hardware, where you can't just post a patch after you have released it.

If he's planning on doing everything him self, then definitely he is in trouble.
I have canceled my order some time ago and I never got any confirmation.
Hope my #25 will not shipp, for I don't live there anymore and simply don't need the mount at this time.
