  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Birger Lens Mount Reservations

It's not delays. It's misrepresentation. The unfulfilled promise of shipment is not only frustrating but also dishonest. We've been told many times that everything was ready to go, and we would be getting tracking numbers shortly when that has obviously not been the case. I paid in full over 2 months ago because my mount was shipping that week. It's just not good business.

You're right.. It's not.. So cancel your order and move on.. We'll still love you. But I hope you will understand if a large number of people decide to stick with this.

After all, if everyone jumped ship WHAT WOULD HAPPEN TO THIS THREAD!!! Screw the mount!

My money's on Rest & Romance

Followed by shipping, shipping, shipping

This is too gentle...

Erik, get married and then go get laid. Bunches and bunches. Don't stop until you've invented a new position, or until you've pulled something.

Now is not the time to go gently into that good night. You're married man. Go get some for Christ's sake!

You've both earned it.

Jay

Hopefully, right now, somewhere in Boston, Erik is laying back, hands behind his head, ring on his finger, a big shit-eating grin on his face, and dreaming of how many mounts he's going to ship this week!

If anyone's canceling their order, I'm interested in jumping ahead in the queue (and will pay a premium).

Perhaps he's mounting now...

couldn't resist, could you?

This is an amazingly convoluted thread, think of the drama, the anticipation, the frustration, and now ....

Been a long and productive day. I need to take a break. I need to get a few things taken care of tonight, like packing, sewing some suspender buttons on my tux pants... etc... my head hasn't been completely in the game, the engineering and production game, this week.

I knew that this thread will lead to something.
Wedding, mounts or both.

Congrats Erik, one small step for a Man, one giant leap for the Woman

Andrew

hey, leave my knob out of this!

I read a couple of posts. Martin and others made me smile. I read a few more, and decided I would simply skip to the end of it all. Amy and I had a fantastic wedding, and are back at the office this afternoon.

Two people, known to many in this community, really stepped up for us this weekend in ways that were totally unexpected. Mike Hedge wrapped his film last week, and on his way to London this week to sell the film, generously offerred and found the time to shoot our rehearsal dinner. Jay Kelbley, an old friend, who just happens to be a marketing manager in Sony's Digital Photo Finishing group, showed up with a camera, the Princess Di killer (what he calls the Canon 28 to 300 - best paparazzi lens ever) and gave us a beautiful album at the brunch the next morning.

Thanks to all that allowed us to enjoy a short break. Thanks to those that understood that this time for Amy and me was both important and deserved. We are now back at work. Please continue to lay off the phones until tomorrow, so we can get some stuff out the door and work through our game plan for the week.

Congrats on your wedding, Erik. I hope you and Amy are planning a monster honeymoon for after all the dust settles! Looking forward to getting the shipping notice to end all shipping notices...

Is great to have You back Erik!

Once again - congrats! As we say in my country - all You have to do now is:

1. Build a house
2. Plant a tree
3. Have a son

I will give You break today and send You the stuff You have requested tomorrow...

Sincere regards!

Peter :)
