Hi Guys,

I have received information from Max:

We have successfully completed long run tests with 5A 14.8V (similar to RED Epic + Remote follow focus and wireless transmission). This type of configuration is rated slightly below 80W. Maximum power output is around 7A 14.8V, but according to new standard we strongly advice to 5A/14.8V limit.
There's no continuous work time limit in this configuration. Starting from 28 Celsius we got around 33 after 30 minutes, and around 35 after 60 minutes. Longer work doesn't change temperature a lot, so it is very good for JIB/crane type of shots.
More information about older board: during 5A 12V test (slightly less than 50W, RED Epic eats slightly more) after 60 minutes vertical arm got really warm. It wasn't good for electronics and user, so this main problem has been eliminated.
Beside of that on new V2 board you will be able to use both connectors on vertical arm (DC IN and DC OUT) as input or output - without looking at manual or laser engraving. You will be able to use two batteries connected parallel. In case of our large batteries this gives us around 12Ah, that is ~24-48 hours of continuous work time with gimbal only, or 2-4h with RED Epic and accessories.
New mainboard is also solderless, so all connections are being done with special pre made connectors. Board is smaller, so there's plenty room for those on top of it. We redesigned PCB completely, so there's huge improvement also for us - service will be much easier as connectors and internal cabling is much simpler.

The V2 board.

After those final tests we have placed order for those new boards to be mass produced. We are waiting for confirmation about delivery time. I will post that information when we will receive confirmation.

Thanks Peter, sounds like great news. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that I very much look forward to getting the updated shipping date or at least a ballpark estimate.

Hi Guys,

I have received confirmation from electronic boards producer. We have received our place in production for our electronics but it will take a bit longer as they are finishing a major order for other company. We should receive our boards at 14-21 August.

Please send me e-mail so we can arrange convenient for you time to perform upgrade from V1 to V2 electronics. Please keep in mind that this process will be relatively simple - installing new boards and LEMO connectors won't take much time - but we will need extra time to handle all custom procedures correctly to avoid any unwanted complications. So it is very important to contact me before shipping your unit to us.

Best
Peter
