  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

How much of the unit needs to ship back? If it's the whole thing, that could be expensive.

Also, on the V2 board, how will it connect to the large lipos? I have a V1 board at the moment - with a power in that works 'when it wants to'... but I'd like to know how the new Lemo works with Lipo - is it a custom cable?
 
For those of us that have yet to receive a unit, how does this affect us?

Hi Guys,

we will provide cables to connect large batteries to LEMO power connectors. They will be shipped with new units and added to units we will receive on upgrade.

We will be shipping already upgraded units - as for now we are preparing for building large batch of units so we will be able to ship them when we will receive electronics.

Piotr, thanks for the update, I'm sure when I say we are all excited, most here would agree. The new functionality is pretty crazy, I'm looking forward to trying it out myself. I hope it happens soon.

Do you actually have an Epic or comparable weight to test out the functions of this gimbal? Because it seems a lot of problems arise when the gimbals are shipped to Red users who are using them with heavier cameras.

Don't you think we all will have upgraded to Weapon when our gimbal arrives? :P

Maik, how I wish that were true. The Csnadian currency has taken a nose dive and with almost .40c on the dollar the Weapon keeps moving further away from reality, of course that's another discussion for a different thread. I do think Ash makes a good point though. Piotr, is there a chance of seeing a EPIC or a camera of similar weight put through those fancy moves (that was pretty cool)?

I was just kidding, Weapon is out of reach for me for a long time too. Unless RED announces something like a Scarlet Weapon. ;)

Agreed, some demos with Scarlet or EPIC would be very welcome.
