FF 35 Dragon for the huge win.
Might be the first digital camera that Christopher Nolan uses. He's gone towards 65mm more and more in his films and this might just be the camera to win him over to digital. Depends on the image quality though.
A 65mm sensor is competitive enough. I don't think people really understand this. Look at Nolan's movies.
Not sure I understand Erich Roland - are you saying that all 'pro' cameras should be 4:3? Why? I am a pro / commercial shooter (meaning I derive 100% of my income from shooting) and 95% of my jobs are 16:9. A 4:3 sensor would be a step back for me, and I would hazard a lot of other DP's.
65mm & anamorphic are both niche formats - together it doesn't get any niche -ier.
We've talked about it several times, but I think that's probably the most versatile next step.
since they're stitching together their usual 35mm sensors…image quality will look the same…I'm guessing
So it's basically Alexa pixels but more of them in a different aspect ratio. Dragon remains competitive and in the same ball park. So far Arri catches up to Dragon but does not present something next generation Red will have to catch up with.
Personally it seems that FF35 should be the next leap in sensor size, and there are more lenses to cover that format than 65mm. But as a specialty camera, 65mm sounds cool, would be fun to shoot.

Dear God.
Also, REDCODE is the real winner here.
